✔Location: Founded in 1940, New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) has prepared its graduates to enter an increasingly competitive labor market. NEIT enrolls nearly 3,000 students and offers more than 50 associate, bachelor's, master's and online/hybrid degree programs. The university encompasses three locations in Rhode Island: its main campus in East Greewich and two in Warwick. NEIT is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. The Ocean State has many recreational activities. Known for its beautiful beaches, swimming, boating, and water sports are popular choices. Fall brings beautiful foliage and great hiking weather. From the famous Newport mansions to museums to fabulous restaurants and theater, there is plenty to enjoy. Rhode Island is just a few hours away from New England's major ski resorts and Boston and New York City are within driving distance.
✔Housing: History is in the making at New England Institute of Technology with the construction of the university's first residence hall in the summer of 2017. The four story, 400 bed facility will be located at NEIT's East Greenwich campus and will offer single and double occupancy traditional rooms and semi-suites. The residence hall will also include student lounges, study rooms, a game room, a lounge with a fireplace and multi-purpose common spaces. A campus green will also be incorporated into this initial phase of construction. See our construction webcam here.
✔Student life: Completing a degree doesn't just mean going to class-it also means discovering new things about yourself and developing a broader perspective. Participation in NEIT's student clubs is an excellent way to meet new people and introduce yourself to new experiences and opportunities that will look great on your resume. Intramural and recreational sports offer a great way for students to be physical, engage in friendly competition and meet other students. NEIT leagues and tournaments for soccer, flag football, basketball and golf are coordinated through the Student Activities Office. Off Campus: As a student at New England Institute of Technology, you can find numerous things to do and places to go in and near East Greenwich. At Goddard State Park in Warwick, you can horseback ride; run or hike the 18 miles of trails, go on a picnic, golf, swim or kayak in the water, and snowshoe or ski in the winter. During the summer, beaches are a popular Rhode Island destination-they're everywhere. From movies, mansions and museums to hidden gem restaurants and theatres-with many student groups, on campus events, and local businesses, you have plenty to explore in Rhode Island. World-famous Boston and New York City are easy day-trips.
